Business Development Representative
Business Development Representative - Growth Team
Trendtracker is an AI-first strategic-intelligence company based in Ghent, helping enterprises spot and act on future trends. As a Business Development Representative, you will shape our outbound efforts, refine our narrative for new prospects, and build the pipeline that powers our growth. You will engage high-potential customers, craft clear messaging, qualify leads, and drive early-stage conversations in a fast-scaling environment.
Help build the outreach engine behind Trendtracker’s expansion as we bring our AI-powered strategic-intelligence platform to enterprise teams worldwide.
Why this role matters
You will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by building the first line of contact with high-potential customers. You will help define and refine the narrative of Trendtracker and how we present ourselves to new prospects, ensuring our messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned with the value of our strategic-intelligence platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-scaling AI-first startup based in Belgium but operating globally. With high autonomy and direct impact, your outreach efforts will translate into booked discovery calls and new business relationships that fuel our expansion.
Our Mission
There is one KPI that truly matters: generate qualified leads and discovery calls within our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) so we can onboard companies that benefit most from Trendtracker’s strategic-intelligence platform. Your work in outreach, qualification, and communication directly supports the growth engine behind our product.
How you contribute
You will proactively conduct outbound outreach through cold emails, LinkedIn messaging, and calls where appropriate, targeting prospects that match our ICPs. You will craft clear, concise, persuasive messaging that communicates the value of Trendtracker, explaining why AI-driven trend intelligence matters and how we help companies stay ahead of change. Following up on outreach, warm leads, and inbound interest will be essential, ensuring consistent and professional communication.
You will qualify leads, determine fit, assess potential interest, and book discovery calls or demo meetings, handing them off to senior sales or account teams. You will maintain an organized and accurate pipeline in our CRM or sales-outreach system, documenting every interaction and next step. You will collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine ICPs, messaging, and outreach strategies based on what resonates. Feedback from your conversations will inform targeting, positioning, and continuous improvement. Meeting or exceeding outreach and meeting-booking targets on a monthly and quarterly basis will be a key part of your impact.
What we’re looking for
You should have proven experience, ideally 1–4 years, in B2B enterprise outbound or a sales-development role, or strategy consulting within a SaaS or tech environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential—you must be able to craft persuasive outreach messages and communicate confidently on calls. You are self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
You demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage pipelines, document outreach, and follow up consistently. A strong learning mindset is important: you adapt quickly, take feedback, and iterate your approach. You have a genuine interest in technology, AI, trends, and strategic intelligence, and you can speak to the value of what we are building. You are comfortable using CRM or sales-automation tools and willing to learn new platforms as needed. Fluency in English is required depending on target markets.
Nice-to-haves include experience with outbound systems, automation, or prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or outreach platforms, as well as previous exposure to selling or positioning AI or SaaS products. A basic understanding of business strategy or corporate innovation is beneficial for communicating how Trendtracker supports high-level decision making.
Working at Trendtracker is
Impact from day one—your outreach directly leads to conversations with potential customers. You will work in a modern, ambitious startup environment where we move fast, iterate continuously, and value autonomy and ownership. You will have the opportunity to influence our go-to-market approach, outreach strategy, and messaging, with real input beyond execution.
There is significant room for growth as we scale globally. You will join a collaborative, mission-driven team working on something meaningful: helping companies anticipate the future and stay ahead through AI-powered strategic-intelligence.
