As a generalist business developer, you will be a key pillar of the growing commercial and customer side of Trensition. Through your passion for business innovation, business strategy, data analytics and trend analytics, you inspire strategy and innovation teams of global leading companies and support them to act upon future trends. 

This job opportunity requires taking ownership of and executing the following, non-exhaustive list of tasks:

  • Generate new leads to ensure a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities through various methods, including personalized sales, social selling, networking, cross-selling, exhibitions, partnerships, and inbound sales (demos, trials, …).
  • Onboard new customers in Trendtracker and establish trust-based relationships to better serve the needs and requirements of our customers.
  • Co-develop and finetune the marketing, communication and branding strategy and execute related tasks.
  • Support the strategy and innovation teams of our customers by performing tailored trend research on new and emerging trends, synthesize complex information, formulate and test hypotheses and define clear takeaways and recommendations.
  • Maintain Trensition's trend database.
  • Support marketing with content ideas based on insights collected during research or interaction with potential or existing customers.

Professional characteristics required for this job opportunity include:

  • Experience with conducting research and performing analysis in a business context. 
  • Experience with sales and strategic consulting at an international level is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English with C-level professionals .
  • Hands-on and delivery-oriented strategic thinker.
  • Ability to present for a wide range of audiences, ranging from students to senior leaders.
  • Take ownership and set and prioritize goals.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of people with different skill sets to foster new business opportunities, further improve the platform and optimize internal processes
