Trendtracker (by Trensition) is building a global AI platform that helps organizations anticipate the future and make smarter strategic decisions. Our data team is the backbone of this mission—responsible for ingesting, structuring, analyzing, and transforming millions of signals from 10,000+ curated sources into high-quality trend insights, NLP outputs, and proprietary scoring metrics. We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist / Engineer to scale our analytics engine, push the boundaries of NLP and information extraction, and turn research into real product features used by global enterprises.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Researcher, or Data Engineer. (PhD is a strong plus.)
- Deep experience with large-scale, messy, real-world datasets.
- Academic-level understanding of NLP, information extraction, text analytics, or semantic modeling.
- Strong proficiency in:
Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Git, RESTful APIs, CI/CD. - Experience with time series or graph analytics is a plus.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate clearly with engineering and product teams.
- Fluent in English.
- Ownership mindset — you define goals, prioritize, and deliver.

How You Contribute
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Build, maintain, and optimize large-scale data pipelines ingesting, cleaning, enriching, and indexing millions of documents.
- Improve scalability, reliability, and throughput across our Google Cloud + Kubernetes architecture.
- Monitor data flows, automate error handling, and ensure high availability.
NLP, ML & Information Extraction
- Develop and refine algorithms for NLP, topic detection, event extraction, GPE recognition, and entity/organization extraction.
- Experiment with new models and evaluate research ideas on large datasets.
- Collaborate with AI/LLM engineers to integrate model outputs into product features (summaries, insights, narratives).
Research → Product Translation
- Translate research prototypes into production-ready features.
- Prioritize, scope, and execute transferring insights, metrics, and algorithms into Trendtracker.
- Expand Trensition’s proprietary trend scoring framework and analytical capabilities.
Data Ops & Performance
- Optimize MongoDB and Elasticsearch queries, indexing strategies, and storage models for performance and scalability.
- Ensure all models and pipelines follow SDLC standards:
- Code reviews
- Automated tests
